I see live people
Welcome
to the 21st century. Whether you know it or not, New York
City and some other cities in the US have many hidden cameras
all throughout the city. In Nyc there are about 8 cameras
hidden in mid town Manhattan. Mainly in the same area. Which
in this case is 42nd Street. Which happens to be the biggest
intersection of the city, not to mention the cities core.
It seems today that most of the city's biggest and most lucrative
businesses are located at times square.
Who
controls these cameras
The
cameras are displayed on earth
cam's web site. You can find nyc cams and cams in other
cities such as boston, philly, vegas, seattle, london and
a few other cities. You can watch the cameras flicker in new
images every other second, like a slow feed, but you can also
watch streaming video if you click the option. When
you click the streaming video option the video comes in faster,
in real time, which makes it a bit more interesting to watch.
It gives you this warm and fuzzy feeling, like your spying
on people in the city . Even
though your not as cool as say sam fisher (the main character
in Xbox's best game "Splinter Cell") its still cool
to watch people go by oblivious to the secret live cameras.
Trouble
seeing people
If your having problems viewing the camera shots you need
to download a java applet.
Once you've got Java software, you'll have access to a whole
new world of interactivity. It enables just about any application
including games, tools, and information programs and services,
to run on just about any computer or device. You can
download
here, or to find out more about
the program just click on the link, its does not self install
it's merely a link to their web site.
